Nabeel Rajab is the President of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights. He is also deputy secretary general of the International Federation for Human Rights and chairperson of CARAM-Asia, a regional network that addresses migration and health issues. He’s a member of the Advisory Committee of Human Rights Watch's Middle East Division and recently received the Woodrow Wilson Center's 2011 Ion Ratiu Democracy Award.

Khaled Almaeena is the Editor-at-Large of Arab News, the first English language newspaper in Saudi Arabia. He’s also the founder of Naam, a think tank and NGO based in Paris. Over the past thirty years he has held a variety of positions in the Saudi media and regularly contributes to a number of regional and international publications including Gulf News-Dubai, Asharq Al-Aswat, Al-Eqtisadiah, and The China Post.

Christopher Davidson is a Reader in Middle East Politics at Durham University in the United Kingdom. He is the author of several books on the Gulf region, including The United Arab Emirates: A Study in Survival; Abu Dhabi: Oil and Beyond; and Dubai: The Vulnerability of Success. He’s a regular contributor to print and broadcast media and an associate fellow of the Royal United Services Institute. His forthcoming book is entitled After the Sheikhs: The Coming Collapse of Gulf Monarchy?
Abdulla AlderaziSpeaking against the motion
Abdulla Alderazi is a lecturer at the University of Bahrain, College of Arts and a member of the Bahrain Human Rights Society. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Organization of Human Rights. He was recently appointed to the government’s national committee whose mandate is to respond to the findings of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry.
